Missing Cat found!

Missing cat! Veg has been missing from owner's home at Mahoto Margar, Bhaisepati since past few days. Veg was recently neutered. Owner & family are very sad since Veg went missing. Veg is a friendly cat but can be a bit timid with strangers. If you are staying around Mahoto Margar, Bhaisepati & happened to see Veg, kindly notify us immediately. Please help to share this post. Micho & his sibling

Meet Micho & his sibling, Shy. Both are male & nearly 3 months old. Micho & Shy were rescued from a restaurant. Recently, another sibling of them, Salem, a black kitten got adopted. Micho was adopted before but was returned back as he doesnt do well being the only kitten in the house. Micho is clingy with his brother Shy. Micho is hiss sometimes but mean no harm. Whereas Shy is extremely shy. Both kittens needs time to get use to humans. Micho & Shy are preferibly to be adopted together. Story of Chimi

Meet Chimi, a female tuxedo cat of about 5yrs old. Chimi was one of the 5 cats that was abandoned by her owner in a shelter. Living in a shelter for many years has made Chimi aloof, depressed & traumatized. As a result, she became severely sick & nearly lost her life last year. She was brought to Dr Sushil of AMC Clinic & survived. Chimi was then put under a care of an amazing fosterer. In every tunnel of darkness, there is always a light. Chimi's fosterer, Bec, decided to give a forever loving home to her. When Chimi came to Bec, she was still depress. Nobody could touch her. Months went by, she started gaining trust back in humans. Little did everyone know, Chimi love to eat bread. Often, she would sneak into the kitchen & steal a slice. Everyone in the house was amused by her sneaky behaviour & love for bread. After a couple of months, Bec decided to adopt a kitten, Timtam. Chimi was a bit unhappy but she eventually softened. Chimi & Timtam became amazing buddies tho Chimi has firmly notified Timtam that she is the Queen of the house. A huge thank you to Bec & her daughters for adopting Chimi & Timtam as well as sharing these beautiful pictures. We hope more cat lovers will open their heart in adopting adult cats. Adopting adult cats will save their lifes from euthanasia. Adopt adult cats!

Baily in best home care

Remember Baily, the cat who suffered from severe mange? He is doing absolutely fine & chubbier. Well loved by owner & family. Thank you Aditya for giving Baily the best home with lots of tender, love, care & sharing these lovely pictures with us.

13th February 2017 Update

Piper has been discharged today. She is under a foster care. Piper medical cost & the total amount donated by the generous people to pay off her medical bill will be posted on our next update.

11th February 2017 Updates

Piper is walking on her 4 legs now. We took her for another xray to check on her left hind leg healing process. She will be discharged after 3 days.

Piper is recuperating well. Dr Sushil jokingly said ," She can do Shakira shake now." Piper will due to return to fosterer home soon.

Black Cats

Because of superstitious beliefs in some cultures, black cats are sometimes associated with bad luck and, sadly, are more likely to be put to sleep or wait a long time to be adopted from shelters. Fluer who loves black cats, opened her heart for Pappy, a friendly 2 months old black kitten. Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, Fleur has to give away Pappy who is now 5 months old. We are urgently looking for a new forever loving home for Pappy again. Pappy is human friendly & a lap cat. He is litter trained, neutered & rabies vaccinated. Lily in need of a forever loving home

Lily is URGENTLY in need of a forever loving home. Lily is one of the 3 adult cats from a shelter, currently under our foster care. Lily was a healthy stray cat taken care by a care giver. On 25th April 2015, when Nepal was struck by an earthquake with 7.8 magnitude, Lily went missing. After 2 weeks of the disaster, Lily came to the care giver home looking sunken & weak. Her chest was compressed with wound & she was panting. She was brought to a vet & for xray. Vet suspected a hard object must have fallen on her hard during the earthquake, causing chest injuries. A surgery to fix her lungs is risky & chance of survivol is low. She was either to be euthanized or be an indoor cat. Hence, she was brought to a shelter cos she can no longer have a life on the street due to her condition. The kind vet at the shelter decided to keep her alive as she was eating & drinking normal. Nevertheless, life in a shelter too is not for her. Lily deserves better than a shelter life. Lily is now 3 years old. She is a big gentle cat but a little timid. Her condition is still the same but she is living to the fullest. She is eating & drinking well. Lily is urgently in need of a forever loving home. She is suitable as a one household cat. Lily is litter trained, spayed & rabies vaccinated. If you could give Lily a forever loving home, kindly INBOX us.

4th February 2017 Updates

Piper is recovering well. She is walking & putting on slight weight on her left hind leg. Speedy recovery to Piper.

3 Remaining Cats

After more than 3 years couped up in a shelter, 3 remaining cats have been transferred under Catmandu Lovers foster care for upclose tender, love & care. Seti & her son, Messi, together with another cat, Lily, are currently adjusting to the new environment. 2nd February 2017 Updates

Piper's surgery went well tho vet was extremely concerned as her bone is severely cracked making the surgery very complex. However, she may or may not walk as per normal due to the severe crack. But vet is staying positive considering she is still a young growing cat. The chance of the bone to heal natural is high. Lets us all pray for Piper's speedy recovery.

1st February 2017 Updates

Today, we visited Piper at the clinic before her surgery is being done. She seemed to be livelier & her appetite is back after Dr Sushil of AMC medicated her. Dr Sushil who has vast 4 years experience working in Malaysia solely with cats has showered & pampered Piper with the utmost tender, love & care. Despite of the pain Piper is going thru, she trully enjoyed the attention given by Dr Sushil who cradled her like a baby.

Adult Cats Need Love Too!!

We are still on a mission to find homes for 3 remaining adult cats desperately in need. For more than 2 years these beauties have been living in a shelter not fit for cats, and as a result they have become traumatized, depressed, and have lost their trust in people. They deserve the cuddles and kisses that all cats do and we’re doing our best to make that possible!

Each cat carries their own heartbreaking story, but with a glimmer of hope that one day they’ll find a loving home. Catmandu Lovers is continuing this ADULT CAT ADOPTION CAMPAIGN with the hopes of rekindling each cat’s trust and love, and finding those out there willing to open their hearts and homes to make this possible.
